Royal Harbor is an upscale boating neighborhood located within the city limits of Naples on the eastern edge of Naples Bay. Residents enjoy convenient gulf access via Gordon Pass. There are bayfront and canal-front locations all of which have boat docks. Some of the canal-front locations have deep water while others have shallow water so for prospective Royal Harbor buyers it would be wise to make sure the draft of your boat is compatible with the depth of the canal. Although Royal Harbor is not a beachfront community it is walkable to the beach as well as 5th Ave S in Olde Naples. It is comprised of more than 400 single-family homes and a handful of condominiums. Royal Harbor first broke ground in the 1960s and homes continued to be built into the 1970s. Since 2000 there have been a number of tear down/rebuilds resulting in a nice mix of newer and older homes.
How Big of a boat can you have in Royal Harbor?
This is determined by the total linear feet of waterfrontage on a specific property. Most lots in Royal Harbor have between 80-150 feet of frontage (some over 250') but setbacks do apply. We have seen boats over 35' long in Royal Harbor. Before committing to purchase a property, one should verify with the city of Naples how big of a boat they can have for that specific property.
